• Mineral water 250 ml
• Oil 150 ml
• Sugar 150 gr
• 1 teaspoon lemon juice
• Baking powder 1/2 teaspoon
• Flour 600gr
• Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon
• A pinch of salt
• 1.5kg grated pumpkin pie
• Sugar 100 gr

How to prepare pumpkin pie:

Preparation of the pumpkin pie filling: Wash and peel the pumpkin pie and then pass it through a large grater. Put the grated pumpkin in a pan with the sugar, stirring constantly. After a few minutes of hardening, set the composition aside to cool.

Dough preparation. In a large bowl put the mineral water, oil, sugar, lemon juice, baking powder, vanilla and salt powder. Sift the flour on top and mix all the ingredients well. When the mixture starts to harden, knead until you get a homogeneous and non-sticky dough.

Preparation: Add flour if necessary. Let the dough cool for about 20-30 minutes

Divide the dough into two equal parts. Roll out a piece of dough into a rectangular sheet.

Place the sheet in a tray with a diameter of 20/30 cm, lined with baking paper. Spread the pumpkin composition evenly over the entire surface of the sheet.

Spread the second sheet of dough over the composition. Cut off the excess edges.

Baking pumpkin pie

Prick the whole surface with a fork from place to place. Put the pie in the preheated oven at 180 degrees and bake until golden, about 40 minutes. Rolled pumpkin pie

Ingredient was:

  • 450 gr flour
  • 100 ml water
  • a pinch of salt

Filling ingredient:

  • 700 gr grated pumpkin
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.

1. First prepare the filling: put the grated pumpkin in a saucepan with the sugar and leave for 15-20 minutes. At the end we add cinnamon.

2. We move on to preparing the sheets. We put the flour in a bowl. Add the egg, lard and water and knead a soft and non-sticky dough. If necessary, you can add a flour powder.

3. Sprinkle the flour on the worktop and spread 3 thin sheets of this dough. Grease the pumpkin sheets in abundance, then roll them and wrap them in a snail shape, but wrap them directly in the tray lined with baking paper.

4. We put a few grains of lard in a few places on top of the pie (about the size of an olive or even less), and I added hardened pumpkin from place to place because I had a little left.

5. Bake the pie in the preheated oven at 200 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until nicely browned. At the end we can powder it with powdered sugar and cover it with a towel until it cools. Good appetite!

I always make it in a sweet portion because it is preferred by the whole family.

For this pumpkin pie, I prefer not to buy the sheets but to make them at home, from a fragile dough that melts in the mouth. In addition, this dough is very easy to make and can be used with any pie.
